The new Audi A4, which is set to go on sale at the start of next year, will see price increases across the range.

It costs £600 more than the current entry level A4. With the car being made to produce better fuel efficiency and emit less C02 amongst many other attributes, the price increase could be justified.

2.0 litre TDIe

  • Cost: £26,555 (Represents an increase of £1,400)
  • The car emits 112g/km

2.0 litre TFSI

  • Cost: £29,170 (Represents an increase of £100)
  • The car is a four wheel drive car and is run on petrol

New diesels

The new generation of the Audi A4 was sure to bring about newer economical models. With fuel prices going up and Government regulations demanding the decrease of C02 emissions, the three new diesel variants are a welcome addition.

2.0 litre TDI

  • Cost: £27,575
  • Power: 161 BHP
  • The car emits just 115g/km of C02 and will come as a six speed manual only

2.0 litre TDI

  • Cost: £27,575
  • Power: 175 BHP
  • The car will come with a Multitronic automatic gearbox along with a dual clutch S-tronic transmission. A manual gearbox will be available too.

3.0 litre V6 TDI

  • Cost: £30,490
  • Power: 201 BHP
  • A Multitronic automatic gearbox will be available upon launch but a manual version will be made available in the spring.

A4 Avant 1.8 TFSI

  • Cost: £24,015
