The car is a highly special edition vehicle with just 333 of them being made. Each one will be marked with an individual number on the gear, marking its position in the production line.
The engine’s power derives from the 5.2 litre V10 producing a total of 560 BHP and 540 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. The car is able to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
Weighing just 1,640 KG, the car is one of the lightest supercars available on the market. This is a considerable 85 KG less than the Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI Quattro.
The R8 GT Spyder’s fabric roof can be raised in 19 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h, showing just how practical the car is.
New Audi A5 Series
The new R8 wasn’t the only car from Audi to showcased at the event. The Audi new RS 5 was presented too along with other revisions to the series. This included the refreshed Audi RS 5 Coupe, the Audi A5 Sportback, the Audi A5 Coupe as well as the Audi A5 Cabriolet. The engines sets be introduced include the 1.8 TFSI multitronic, a 2.0 litre TFSI Quattro S Tronic and a 3.0 TFSI Quattro S Tronic.
RS 5 Coupe
The new RS 5 Coupe is a wonderful looking sporty car with the performance to back it up. The wonderful two door coupe will be able to produce 450 BHP at the 8,250 rpm. It will also reach 0 – 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The top speed will be limited to just 250 – 280 km/h.
The Middle Eastern automotive market can expect the new range of Audi A5’s during the first quarter of this year. The top of the range Audi RS 5 will be released in the second quarter.
S6, S7 and S8
The new Audi S6, S7 and S8 were also showcased at the Qatar Motor Show. The S6 along with the S7 will contain a 4.0 TFSI which is able to produce 420 BHP. The brand new Audi S8 will produce 520 BHP from the same 4.0 TFSI engine.
