Audi’s sales America increase again

Audi have once again experienced growth in America and continued their progress in the country. Audi’s January sales are up from last year by 19.7 % in total, which represents great progress from the German company.

Best ever

In total 9,354 Audi cars were sold last year which beats the 2011 record of 7,812 in January. The 2011 January sales record itself set a record but Audi have managed to break it once again. In effect this is Audi’s best January ever in history.

Luxury market booming

The luxury car market within North America is currently booming with BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi all taking advantage. They are the current top three car producers in the country with BMW and Mercedes-Benz partaking in one of the tightest sales battles in history. Both refused to release their annual figures earlier this month as the contest was so closely fought. In the end it was BMW who came out on top by a very small margin.

Audi President – 2012 expected to be another great year

Audi America President Johan de Nysschen said that Audi are to be contended with too. The recent sales figures have proven that to be the case. He said that “Consumers are sending a strong signal that Audi is at the top of the luxury vehicle market. I’m optimistic that 2012 will be another pacesetting year.”

Sales statistics

The Audi A6 in particular performed extremely well with a 90 % increase of sales when compared to 2011. The Audi Q7 luxury SUV sales were up by 15 % with sales of 866. North America also seems to be taking to the Audi TT with sales up by 88 % with a figure of 182. The demand for the Audi TT RS Coupe helped inspire the model’s prominence of sales. The sales of the Audi Q5 SUV were up by 26 % to 1,991 in 2012 compared to 1,584.  The larger Audi Q7 SUV sales were up by 15 % to 866 from
