The Audi A6L is a comfortable market leader in China within its particular category. Sales managed to increase by 25 per cent in February. A newer model is expected to be released in April of this year, which will naturally increase sales this year.
The newest generation of the Audi A8L has already been available within China for one year. Thanks to this particular model, Audi have now doubled their market share within the country for luxury sedans, a category which is seeing a huge increase in demand at present.
Audi’s sales of the Q7 model has jumped up by a staggering 71 per cent in China with 2,032 models sold in February alone. This will make particularly special reading for Audi as the luxury SUV market in China is seeing great demand, making it one of the most profitable segments in the Chinese automotive industry.
Audi A6, A7 and the Audi A8
Out of all Audi models, it was the Audi A6, Audi A7 and Audi A8 which have gained the strongest rates of growth worldwide.
The Audi Q3 and the Audi A1 Sportback
The European region saw the Audi Q3 and the Audi A1 Sportback gaining great levels of sales, with the new models becoming more and more popular.
In Germany, the home town of Audi, sales were up by 4.5 per cent when comparing February 2010 and February 2011, with total sales reaching 19,769.
Austria sales of Audi were much lower but received a higher growth figure, selling 1,560 cars in total and achieving a growth figure of 20.2 per cent.
Here in the UK, that growth figure read at 10.1 per cent selling a total of 4,150 Audi cars in February.
France and Spain
France saw sales growth rise by 5.0 per cent managing to sell 5,654. Spanish sales were positive reaching the same level as they did last year in February which total sales of 3,952. This showed good progress from Audi especially considering the state of the Spanish economy.
In Italy, Audi hold the lead for being the number one supplier of premium vehicles. This continued last month selling 4,003 cars with sales rising by 27.3 per cent.
Eastern Europe was a very well performing region for Audi, with sales rising by 34.9 per cent. Sales in Russia in February have risen by 54.8 per cent with 2,330 cars sold. The Audi Q3 was largely responsible for the tremendous increase in sales in the country.
