Lined up to rival Mercedes-AMG’s CLA 45 and positioned right at the top of the A3 Sedan range, above the S3, the high-performance compact model will feature a 2.5-litre TFSI turbocharged five-cylinder engine. This will be able to create 400bhp and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque sent to all-four wheels via a Quattro all-wheel drive system and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This engine will be the only one available.
The exterior of the RS3 will see an aggressive body kit, complemented by dual-exhaust pipes, larger wheels, and different patterns.
The chassis has been adjusted, with stiffer suspension and improved brakes. The dashboard instruments dials are to be black in colour, with red needles and white scales. An optional extra sees the addition of the Audi Virtual Cockpit, featuring a special RS screen, with the rev counter placed in the centre and tyre pressure, torque, and G-force information towards the sides.
