The Audi A8 has undergone a complete revamping just before its release in 2017. The new 2018 A8 is, as Audi have been doing, propelling the company into the future with new technologies, technical abilities and design features. Depending on the reception of the A8, the vehicle may be the one to completely alter Audi’s design package.

A-Look-at-Audi’s-2018-A8

Spy shots have been captured of the 2018 Audi A8 as it hits the long and winding roads of central Europe. Even though the vehicle is still in its camouflaged wrap, there is still a lot of information that can be extracted from these photographs. The A8 has taken a lot of design cues from the multiple Audi concept cars that have recently been displayed; there is an aggressive single frame grille, newly designed headlights and a raised platform. The vehicle also uses Audi’s new prologue concept which sports a subtle body whilst also being rather front heavy. Although it was rumoured that the 2018 would be on a MSB platform, this hasn’t occurred as a result of its length. Instead, the vehicle has been placed on a MLB2 platform. The A8 does however demonstrate what the A6 and A7 will look like in the future.

The A8 will also have a 48v electric system in both the hybrid and non-hybrid models like the SQ7 does now. As well as that, it has been confirmed that the A8 will have new driving technology installed too. Using multiple cameras and sensors, the A8 will be able to autonomously guide you through traffic in up to speeds of 37mph.

The Audi A8 will certainly be the future of Audi’s flagship sedan series. When there is the creation of a new flagship vehicle, then the design and technology used will eventually trickle down to all of the company’s vehicles. It is exciting times for Audi and Audi lovers globally…
