Fans will be pleased to hear that a new Black Edition, Contrast Edition and a more powerful variant of the 2.0 litre turbo diesel version.
Audi A1 TDI
The Audi A1 TDI will have a starting price of £17,945. It will be able to produce around 143 BHP and have fuel consumption of 68.9 MPG. It is certainly the highlight of the new additions and has so received the most attention from journalists and fans. We can easily see why. It will emit just 108g/km making it a very eco-friendly vehicle along with being a speedy one too. The 6 speed manual gearbox transmission makes it an exciting car to drive. The car will be able to reach 0-62 MPH in just 8.2 seconds.
There will be two Audi A1 Black Edition’s offered, one petrol and one diesel. The petrol engine comes in a version of a TFSI 1.4 litre which will be able to produce around 185 BHP. The diesel engine will be able to produce around 143 BHP from its 2.0 litre TDI engine.
Black edition Audi’s always look that extra bit special. The huge 18 inch alloy wheel gives the small car a very intimidating look. The tinted rear windows along with the black colour coded exterior body parts make the car stand out from the rest of the range. Typical Audi LED daytime running headlights add further style to the already beautifully designed special edition. There will be a special sound system installed within and an easily adjustable full climate control system too.
The Contrast Edition will be defined by the current Audi A1 Sport. This specific edition will unfortunately not be available on the 1.4 TFSI editions. An aero dynamic package as well as 17 inch alloy wheels will be added. The five spoke design is sure to make the car stand out.
Sales for the Audi A1 have been very positive for the German luxury car manufactures. The car improved on its sales figures since gradually since its release in 2009. We believe this is a very good move on Audi’s part and will bring about further sales of the small car.
